Hospice care is provided wherever the patient currently resides or calls home, including:

La Casa Care offers four levels of care to meet all needs of each patient, accommodating their acuity level and assisting families during this time. These levels include:

  • Routine Care

  • Continuous Care

  • General Inpatient

  • In-patient Respite

Who Pays for Hospice?

  • Medicare, Medicaid, Medi-Cal

  • Health insurance and HMO plans

Hospices also rely on community support for both donations and volunteer staff.

Admission Process

To initiate hospice services, a patient, family member, friend, or attending physician can simply call the hospice. A nurse will then visit the patient at their residence or hospital to present information about the program. If the patient chooses to enroll, the hospice team will handle all necessary admission arrangements.
